One of the good things about Lightroom's popularity is that there is an endless variety of tutoring and self help references - you're bound to find something that works well for you. On the other end of the spectrum, Martin Evening's LR book is very detailed comprehensive reference - probably not something you'd read cover to cover, but when I'm looking for the last word on some LR detail, that's what I pull off the shelf.
